Valuing the Educator: Supporting our Human Resources

The Leaders Day of Learning is a one-day professional learning event designed for Early Learning and Child Care leaders. This event brings leaders together to reflect, learn, and strengthen their leadership practice in a supportive and collaborative environment. 

The event will feature a keynote on reconciliation in the early years, along with focused sessions to support leadership practices. There will be dedicated time for networking and peer connection, as well as interactive break-out sessions where participants will apply their learning and identify practical next steps for their programs. Participants will leave with renewed clarity, meaningful connections, and actionable strategies to support strong teams and positive workplace cultures.

When: Friday, January 30, 2026, 9AM-4PM

Where: Grey Mountain Room, Mt. McIntyre Recreation Centre, Whitehorse

What: Full day event with snacks and lunch provided

Who can attend: Leaders in licensed early learning programs in Yukon (owners, operators, directors, managers and supervisors, board members)
