Stone Soup: Read it, make it, play it. In this first session in the Books, Baskets and Beyond workshop series, educators will create a hands-on Stone Soup story basket and explore how storytelling, repetition, and shared experiences can support children's literacy, imagination, and engagement.

This one-day introductory session provides Yukon Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) leaders with a practical overview of the 13 Factors of Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. Participants will explore how each factor contributes to a healthy, respectful, and supportive work environment, while gaining insight into the connection between employee well-being, team effectiveness, and quality early learning programs. 

The Mental Health Commission of Canada identified 13 factors that can impact the mental health of employees. This workshop series will explore some of the factors that contribute to a positive workplace culture.

This session will take place on May 20, 2026 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am (online).

When educators come together to share experiences, revisit meaningful moments, and celebrate learning, a deeper sense of belonging begins to take root.

These moments help us recognize the importance of relationships and the ways our communities shape children’s identities and well being.
