Books, Baskets and Beyond

Books, Baskets and Beyond

Books, Baskets & Beyond is a 10-part professional learning series from ELCC, where we will bring five children’s books to life through two hands-on workshops for each story. Create practical storytelling resources you can take back to your program, then discover new ways to extend each book through play, programming, learning environments, family engagement, and children’s interests. With each workshop designed to stand alone, you can join for one session or follow a story from beginning to beyond!

Grounded in practice

At its core, early childhood education is a relational and reflective profession. By grounding ourselves in occupational standards and ethical practice, we strengthen not only the quality of care we provide, but also our sense of purpose, professionalism, and shared understanding of the important role educators hold within Yukon communities.

Past Event - Our community: a time for reflection and celebration

Together, we build belonging

When educators come together to share experiences, revisit meaningful moments, and celebrate learning, a deeper sense of belonging begins to take root.

These moments help us recognize the importance of relationships and the ways our communities shape children’s identities and well being.

Join the ELCC team for this final session in the It starts with a book workshop series as we reflect on our shared learning journey and celebrate the connections built along the way.
